Altered chain of events
(Proverbs 8:35-36) For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD. But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.
(Proverbs 18:21) Death and life are in the power of the tongue and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
To enter the realm of understanding to get away from the curse of Adam, there is a parallel universe another dimension easily accessible....however to access it you have to pass through a portal, The Torah I have heard of stories were individuals had to grow up to make something of themselves, the binge drinking had to stop,the constant partying the need to shake off old, bad habits and discouraging friends. To cut themselves off completely moving to the other side of the world is always a good start. However if they remain the same, binge drinking, constant partying individual, where ever they end up in the world they will never be able to make something of themselves. The only difference between their life before and their life now is the location. Bad actions will always attract bad results and this is the case in every area of our lives.
So how do we alter these chains of events? A person's attitude, character, general outlook on things need to be adjusted and a lot of us cannot do this on our own. Most of us are so set in our old ways, that the idea of changing is almost an abomination...
And yet we can no longer cope with the situation we are in.
The question therefore is what direction should our attitude, character and general outlook take?
It is simple really once we find the one that created the dimension we seek then we can move from our present dimension to a better one. And the chain of events we seek, unravell themselves before our eyes.
Only God can transport us from an unfavorable dimension to a more favorable one. If we want to see God living in us and working through and around us we need to stop doing the things we know to be wrong. We are able to do this when we follow the Torah and right rulings (ten commandments)The thing is, we pollute God in us by sinning and this creates a wedge between us and God. Look at what He did to King Dawid (David) after he commited the sin of adultery and murder, he was forgiven but his life was never the same.
As was mentioned earlier, we need to stop doing the things we know to be wrong..now this seems obvious, even if we don't know the Bible..we all know what is expected of us, we have had it drummed into us since we were able to talk, through our parents and relatives, through teachers,through good friends, members of society and through the law. Unfortunately most of us have this rebellious streak and i include myself in that category, if we don,t understand why we are not allowed to do what we want to do, especially if we have done what we are not supposed to do, and we enjoyed it, an example is drinking alcohol at the age of 12, if we enjoyed it we will go ahead and do it again and again..it does not help when we are reprimanded by the ones we see doing the very thing they tell us not to do!!
It starts from when we are toddlers till we are teenagers..Don't play with matches....don,t touch that socket .....don't run down the stairs...put your coat on, it's going to rain...one sweet a day or you'll loose your teeth..don't stay out late, don't smoke, don't drink you are under age...don't tell lies....no sex...don't steal..' And the list goes on. Of course those of us who are now adults can now understand why such instructions had to be followed, but we didn't understand them then...and that is the situation we are in now when it comes to our relationship with God. He is our universal parent, our creator in every sense of the word, He tries to get us not to sin, only so He can protect us.
God our Father, knows everything, sees everything, after all he created everything, it follows therefore that he knows where our actions will eventually lead us, if we choose not to listen to his advice, and it is an advice because at the end of the day we are still free to do what we want, whether the governing law of the country we live in, allows it or not. God cannot Himself stop the act of sin, because God has nothing to do with sin. Sin is the our cursed flesh's domain, and once we activate that sin we are in the curse's domain.
Repercussions always follow and this is activated by the shadem (demons), it may be immediate or it may take a while, sometimes a long while but it does come. Unfortunately when it does eventually come (and it always comes at a time where things are already very difficult), we are unable to connect it to our past acts of sin. These are repercussions that our Father tries very hard to help us avoid, which is why HE provided us with instructions to follow (commandments).
It is hard, i know, as adults we are free from the 'shackles' of our parents only to discover that we are still being shackled by God. The way our parents brought us up (those of us that had good responsible guardians) was it really that bad...? those of us that are adults with responsibilities, are we not doing the same thing...? i have heard some people say 'i am turning into my mother'. We do what we do because we love those we are responsible for, and we don't want anything bad to happen to them or to make mistakes or get hurt. And that is exactly what God is about. Of course we are human beings and we make mistakes, but God is not human and does not make mistakes. God is trying to make us understand that life would be so much easier for us, if we follow his instructions, or rather His advice.
Somebody asked me why did God display his wrath so often towards his people in the old testament, because he loved the children of Yisrael and wanted to make them understand, that the problems they go through are as a result of their sin. Imagine you know that, what someone is doing will get them into trouble and you constantly advice them against it and yet they refuse to take your advice...When what you feared does eventually occur, they run to you unhappy needing help and you help them out, expecting that they have learn't their lessons, only for them to find themselves in the same hole time and time again. At one point you will get so frustrated you will want to shake some sense into them..that's how God felt. Free will obviously had a hand in making the children of Israel sin,
Crave life not death...
(Amos 5:6) Seek the LORD, and ye shall live;
To live life all you need to do is want...no, crave our CREATOR in your life, and you can't do that unless you are able to recognize that you need Him. This is important if you want to leave your present dimension surrounded by death into a dimension surrounded by life then you have to pass through the portal..That portal is The Torah
